Nice to hear the coding journeys of these women. Geena is very funny -- she's a programmer who isn't keen on learning computer science for an extended period of time.

Thanks for your well researched, deep consideration of the available options . No, wait, that wasn’t you 😡 A shop that has C# developers and understands the .Net architecture inside out would need a very good reason to choose a JS or TS based SPA over Blazor. you are just being naive.

This was like hoping to see a comparison of two brands of chocolate, only to find discussion around the wrapping, branding, stores they are available in, and who tends to eat them, with no comparison of the actual chocolate itself. While I agree with your final decision, you missed the biggest difference: design patterns. Also fyi, if you’re already in .Net land, absolutely pointless to even consider a different runtime. If you do, you clearly don’t value being DRY, monorepos, and static references enough. All in all, totally missed the mark here.

How about go full stack js like node and next.js and done one language and trust me the dev time will be same or better. You’re clearly more comfortable in net so excellent choice.

I love how all the comments are genuine "python sucks" comments.. Which is accurate.. It's the worst programming language I've ever used. I can only imagine how much developer time has been wasted on this garbage.

And the fact that there are a trillion versions all incompatible with each other makes life miserable when you need to mantain lots of programs on different systems. Python sucks.

I would absolutely be one of the people who said not to push those files, and then when you said the reason you were, I’d say “oh, that makes a lot of sense!”. I’d then try to work out a way to both get the benefits of not-pushing *and* the benefits of ease of use (I can think of two off the top of my head, which might or might not actually work well for your situation) but realize the ease-of-use bit is clearly the more important one.

Python's entire MO is we will make it "simple" for you. For anyone that's been programming longer than about a month, they will quickly realize what makes things simple is not syntax but typing. Python's type system is garbage, to the point where I genuinely prefer even a language like typescript. For all of the problems with javascript's ecosystem, typescript showcases how having a good type system can TRULY simplify programming. I don't care that you took away semicolons and braces, all you've done is made by code harder to reason with weaker intellisense. How's that a good language?

Why howler uses so much memory? 3Mb audio file needs about 60mb RAM. It's ok while you play 1 audio file on the page. But when you have to play more than 5-10 files (sound effects in game not a simple audio player) the page with Howler can take up to 1Gb. But when you disable cachnig and just refresh your page in a moment page can take 2-3Gb of RAM. And it's on empty page with just embeded player which has few instances of player with different sounds

Java Developer should -> 1) Read Code -> So that one can get to read what he doesn't already know 2) Write code - > code you don't know, new language, go and do it. 3) Deliver Code -> so someone else's life becomes better, improve this every day. 4) Solve problems -> give solutions based on your knowledge and skills. Become a problem solver 5) Share what you know - > Software development process should be shared, try to explain, Summary -> To become better one needs to learn -> practice -> develop skills To Become fast one needs to have CONSISTENCY and not speed Hard skills = exact, fixed skills | soft skills = malleable, it changes so software development is a SOFT skill as we need to apply different strategies and do different things to get the result Have clear GOALS. -> choose a project, language is just a tool.
